About

The cultural GPS for families crossing borders.

Our Mission

We believe every family deserves cultural context before crossing borders with children.

It's a Kid's World helps globally mobile families — expats, digital nomads, relocating parents — understand how children are raised in different countries. We combine hard data from UNICEF, OECD, WHO, and World Bank with curated cultural context: parenting norms, play culture, school philosophies, and the things that surprise families arriving from abroad.

Who's Behind This

Emma is the force behind It's a Kid's World. An LSE and UWC alumna featured in Forbes, she built and sold JEFA — a credit lending bank for women in Mexico. As an expat parent who has navigated raising children across cultures firsthand, she saw the gap that no product was filling: the cultural context families actually need before, during, and after a move. Through her Instagram community, she connects thousands of internationally mobile families, translating the messy reality of cross-cultural parenting into practical, honest guidance. Everything on this site reflects her lived experience and relentless curiosity about how the world raises its children.
